An anomaly is something that’s out of the ordinary –something that’s irregular, or strange. I think it can be a great strength to be a little bit strange as a designer.
Being unafraid to get weird with it, subvert expectations and be expressive is what I enjoy most about design.
It’s hard to stand out in this field – I think striving for an anomaly is something that will ultimately bring success and fulfilment.
I designed a brand that I thought embodied these qualities. I used large imposing emblems as the main motif, in the hope that they resemble alien glyphs or sculptures, and give off a feeling of abnormality.
Though this exhibition branding was not ultimately chosen for the exhibition, it's still a project that I'm proud of.
