Flux is an interactive community event on the Merri Creek Trail in Brunswick. The event showcases projected art installations that draw attention to the issue of night safety in the city. The event promises to be a mesmerizing experience that blends art and advocacy, leaving attendees with a renewed appreciation for the transformative power of light.

Within this group, primarily women are the most at risk of being targeted.

Despite Melbourne being lauded as one of the most liveable cities in the world, research and statistics from the City of Melbourne itself shows that there is a gross divide between perceptions of safety between men and women.

Flux is a response to these troubling statistics and a call to action to demand a safer city for everyone who lives in it.

It required a branding suite and rollout that was sensitive and not to be perceived as disingenuous, as 'marketing' this particular topic could be perceived as such.

As Flux is an in-person event, the main deliverables for the project were advertising material and promotional collateral.

This project received the award Collie Print Trust Award for Best Capstone Design at the 2022 RMIT Associate Degree in Graphic Design Graduate Exhibition.
